Welcome
Welcome to the sacred space of my visionary creations. My muses are nature, ancient symbolism and the mystical experiences of life itself. Every new work of art is predominantly drawn and cut out of different varieties of new and recycled paper. Each fragment needs to be drawn and cut several times to fit the original template as it is a mirror process. It is a slow creative undertaking but rather meditative at that.
The different types of material I use are Mulberry, Italian marble paper, rice and cotton paper as well as Nepalese Lokta and Japanese chiyogami paper. Most of these are handmade and dyed one layer at a time with pigment-based inks. Additional illustrative components that are used in my crafts are acrylics, oil, water colour and gold leaf.
For me creativity is a healing tool in self-inquiry and exploration on the walk of life. Throughout my art I strive to capture the essence of spirit beyond everyday mundane reality. I believe each one of us are a living part of the ever-evolving universal mosaic that keeps on shifting and weaving our world both within and without.
The Elements
The four Elements, earth, fire, water and air are the essential building blocks of life that exists in our physical world. These bodies that compose the corporeal universe in the lakes, oceans, the rocks, mountains and soil, in the wind and stratosphere, the emanating energy from our sun. They represent the principles of our existence. The elemental framework is a common thread connecting diverse belief systems and the cosmos.
Earth represents stability, solidity, grounding and practicality. It’s associated with the physical world and the body. Fire embodies passion, transformation, willpower, courage and spiritual awakening. Water symbolizes emotion, intuition, fluidity and flow. It is connected to healing and cleansing. Air signifies the ethereal, the thought, intellect, communication and freedom of the mind.

Desiderata
GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; for they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own vocation, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture the strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
